Colour in Art: Green
Wed 23rd July
2pm - 3:15pm UK Time
Tutor: Martin Beek
Bookings Close: Wed 9th July
It goes without saying that colour is an essential element of art. Used throughout history, artists use colour to describe a subject, to create mood, and to convey meaning through cultural connections and resonances.
Following on from the recent success of the Red, Blue, Yellow series, Martin will be taking a deeper look at Green. The talk will look at the materials available to artists over the centuries, whilst helping us to understand the powerful associations between this colour and its meaning within art.
Martin will provide a list of helpful books and links to further explore on a PDF following each of the talks via the class information page.
