This two-part course explores the glorious nature of humble fruit & veg in a bold and exciting way.
Jo will teach you how to combine different media to express your observations of colour, pattern, and texture with a focus on bringing richness to your work. When observed carefully, even something as familiar to you as an apple can offer surprising inspirational opportunities. We’ll be learning how to capture colour, highlight shapes and textures, and add a touch of boldness to express our ideas.
We will look at the different foundational elements of art including line, colour, pattern, markmaking, and surface texture. We will explore specific painting techniques, as well as drawing, collage, and layering. We’ll also take a look at a variety of other Artists’ work for inspiration.
You do not need to be able to draw or paint in the traditional sense to enjoy this course - anyone who wants to push their boundaries and is willing to explore & experiment is welcome!
